Relationships

...are big in Alice's life at the moment. She and her best friend are having ups and downs - he's struggling to make sense of growing up and she gets upset when he (verbally) lashes out.

Oh dear. I don't know how to help and advise - where's the blinkin' manual for all this. His Mum and I are trying to help but we can't fight their battles or smooth the paths for them. Not really. Hopefully a half term play date away from school will help.

And then there's SRE - sex education to you and me - which does come with a manual and results in a lot of embarrassed giggling. They started with the life cycle of a frog. Obviously there are a few similarities but...

Anyway first proper lesson today and a quiet little chat required afterwards to clear up a few little matters.
