This morning it was beautiful, cool and windy but sunny. I'd been instructed to present myself at the village hardware shop where they very kindly got presents for me, a set of small coffee cups and saucers, a box of the traditional village biscuits and a large container of home produced olive oil. I'm not at all sure that I deserve any of it.

This afternoon it had turned grey, and the wind had gone round to the west. We went up to the mas to pick the last of the broad beans, turn off our little wind turbine and generally shut up shop for our journey, and now Steve's making a large batch of mushroom soup. When he's finished with the worktop I'll make a fish pie for tomorrow and get this evening's tea ready.
