Radio

I have always loved the radio.
As a small child I remember listening to the old valve radio that was situated in the living room. (it wasn't old at the time though) All the exotic station names in the glass front and the noise it used to make as you turned the tuning knob to the one you wanted, passing Hilvershum, West Home, Toulouse, Tunis etc. medium wave, long wave, short wave.
As a teenager I used to take my transistor radio to bed and listen to Radio Luxembourg under the covers.
Nowadays I would be lost without my in car DAB.
