Apartheid years

This photographic exhibition by Dr Peter Magubane of the apartheid years from 1954-1994 as seen through his camera brought tears to my eyes today.
I saw photos of brutality, and people stripped of their dignity...makes one feel ashamed.
I see it's my 700th blip today - I will tribute it to this brilliant photographer who was brave enough to document those times by going into the midst of violent demonstrations and other forbidden areas, and also recording the harsh reality of the daily lives of ordinary families.
