Deep Pool
Another lovely morning in the Park and so I thought it was time I took a photo of one of the lakes, which are the main reason the Park exists in the first place. This is the prosaically named Deep Pool, in many ways my favourite of the lakes and certainly the most photogenic.
It's actually part of Dickerson's but there's a spit of land bridge to the left of this photo with two short metal bridges joining it to another spit and an island all of which mean that Deep Pool appears to be a separate lake at first glance.
It is by far the deepest of the lakes in the Park and there is allegedly still machinery from the gravel pit days lying at the bottom but how true this is I don't know. Certainly takes a good photo though, both in summer and winter.
