On top of the world

This little guy, really tiny is sitting on top of his world which in actual fact is the centre of a drooping paddock daisy. Behind him is the soft outline of our house.

Katey & Milly came out this for some Lensbaby photography - it was pretty cool, but we went out into the paddock anyrate to see what was about. Then the weather turned to shit, so picked some bits and pieces from the paddock and continued our photography indoors.

Doug and I went for a big bike ride again this morning, calling on our friends that have just returned from Vietnam....they loved it.

Such sad new this afternoon - some of you may remember a group of us went on a biking holiday 6 weeks ago and stayed at a little place called Paradise, way up the valley from Glenorchy.
The amazing and beautiful homestead which has just been restored to its former glory and now used for smart lodge accommodation, was struck by a lightening strike this morning and burnt to the ground. All that was left was the chimneys.
Have a look, heartbreaking.
We didn't stay in it, (bit pricey) but Mandy showed us through it, she was so proud of the result - all lost, all the priceless artwork, furniture from the era etc - I'm so saddened. We saw Mandy on the news tonight totally distraught and inconsolable.
