Threlkeld

Best viewed LARGE for the textures.

Anyone who has been the LPH ends up at Threlkeld Mining Museum sooner or later. Also home to the Vintage Excavator Trust the site is a macro, textures and HDR heaven with lots and lots of rusting machinery and parts together with some workshops and sheds you can also go into.

As the weather wasn't the best, although nowhere near as bad as what we were threatened with, we made an afternoon trip having been over to Penrith in the morning to see John Gravett's exhibition in Gallery 15.

I loved the composition above with a plate from an old excavator and lots of rusting tat and faded old cloths around it. I've tried to give the image a bit of a vintage feel overall.
