Survivor

This is the double flower on a quince shrub (I can't remember the formal name). We bought it a few years ago and it didn't do well until Mr M moved it to a different location. Now it has doubled in size and the flowers come each spring. This past year the rabbits worked on the branches, but it is still covered with blooms. Also, it is a bit disheveled and splattered with debris because we had a very hard rain last night. Still, quite lovely, I think. And a definite survivor.

Sprinkles on and off today. Mr M started the morning with an early dental appointment and I donated blood this afternoon, so we had a busy day. He went to work this evening and I made a rhubarb cake and am doing some light cleaning. It's amazing sometimes how much you can squeeze into a day.
