'After the Rain'

The garden is very wet this evening, after what looked like a terrific downpour this afternoon. I missed it as I went to an early afternoon movie 'The Two Faces of January' ...it was very wet when I came out of the cinema.
A very enjoyable film..an American thriller film written and directed by Hoosein Amini. It is based on the 1964 novel by Patricia Highsmith. Filmed on location in Crete and Athens, and Istanbul in Turkey and Ealing Studio in London. Virgo Mortensen, Kirsten Dunst and Oscar Isaac, the main characters were excellent.
The Crocus Rose looking a bit bedraggled tonight but is a little more protected on the west side of the garden so not too much damage done.
