Me at 50!

Celebrating my 50th birthday in a seafood restaurant in Fishermans Wharf, San Francisco with a champagne cocktail!

Having spent the morning in Monterey watching the tail end of the Monterey half marathon we drove back to Carmel and strolled along the beautiful beach. I managed to find the Misssion and as it was Sunday there were church services taking place most of the morning so we stayed for one for a little while.

We then headed off to San Francisco along Highway 1. We found a HUGE room in a motel only 10 minutes walk from Fishermans Wharf and not far from the Golden Gate Bridge. The only problem was it was right on Highway 1 with lorries and thundering past and tour buses stopping right outside our window!
