Yellow Warbler (male)
A yellow warbler (Setophaga petechial), on the Rail Trail at Station Road. The dull red striping on its breast identifies it as a male--the female has no red at all. We were very near a nest, with both male and female around, but capturing anything at the nest was out of the question--too many leaves around it. Again a relatively quiet morning, with hardly any migrants.
The original image had very strong contrasts, with sun and shade--quite a bit of work to tone it down :)
