Quick return

I'm back next to Ullswater in the Lake District after being unable to resist a few extra days in the same Lodge as last week at Patterdale Hall Estate.

A very pleasant day and an easy journey up the M6. It's so long since I've used the motorways to get to the Lake District I had almost forgotten how little time it takes if the roads are clear. Westmorland Farm Shops at Tebay for provisions and then back as if the last 4 days at home were the holiday !

The afternoon was warm T-shirt weather and I went for a long walk up Grisedale starting through the Estate grounds by the river to reach this bridge and get great views of the mountains ahead.

I didn't climb a mountain but certainly tired myself out getting up the valley as far as the bottom of those seen in this photo
