Morning With The Earles
I rode my bike through the cemetery and was glad to see the Earle Family plot illuminated in such a way that makes the inscriptions more readable.
Perhaps West Philly's most radical family, the Earles included a major abolitionist, an animal rights pioneer, a conductor of the Underground Railroad, political reformers, several lefty lawyers, one governor of Pennsylvania, and two noteworthy anarchists.
This plot is in the loveliest part of the cemetery, and early morning is the best time to see it.
