Bluebell Wood

Took Mum out for lunch at New Cample Farm. We decided to drive back along the back roads from Cample to Durisdeer. Just past Cample village I had just said to Mum that I would need to stop at Morton Castle to get a blip, when round the corner from Crickope Lynn we saw this little wood and all of the bankings covered in the most beautiful blue purple haze of bluebells. Stunning against the fresh new spring green. I threw the car into a muddy bank and dived out quickly to snap away before someone else came along the single track road. With lighter heart we drove on round past Cample Cleuch where I swam as a kid, Burnbrae and the Old Kirk we used to dare each other to walk past at night and along to Durisdeer a road we used to cycle on when we felt fit or to go to the summer fete. Best baking stall in the area.
