Threads

I found these threads today when I was doing some sewing. They were my granny's and came to me via my mum. Both were very much ' make do and menders' and these, I'm sure, would be used for mending stockings or tights.

Nowadays thankfully we have every conceivable colour and pattern and texture to choose from and I'm sure that not many of us go to the bother of mending much. Maybe I should get out the needle and thread a bit more often.
