Bridge 57, Ellesmere Tunnel
A really good night's sleep in Whitchurch last night after a superb home cooked meal. If you ever need a B&B there I would highly recommend The Anchor. Newly refurbished and really comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price.
Moved the cars around this morning. Parked one near bridge 57 at the Ellesmere tunnel, then drove back to Whitchurch and bridge 31.
It's amazing how long ten miles is but the scenery was interesting and there were a lot of barges travelling today. Some people chatted and some ignored us, which seems odd, but in my opinion that's their loss. One couple asked if we were the people walking to Llangollen, so it seems we are getting known.
We are now at a pub in a place called Welshampton but it's on the main Wrexham road so will be noisy.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments yesterday and I do apologise for my complete lack of commenting back. I am a lot tired, but my flat feet and bunions are holding up well. Blisters forming under toe nails as usual. I know, too much information.
A shower beckons.
