Ants Eggs

I lifted a little pot that was sitting on a large alpine planted pot, it had been there a very long time. And quite unexpectedly I found these ants and their eggs. As soon as I moved it they very quickly got to work moving the eggs below ground down some holes they had already made. Luckily I had my camera ready because I was taking photos of a large snail.
