Mars Attacks!

Was out playing with my solar powered blimp that L got me for Christmas.

Had a couple of shots of it flying over the house, but that didn't convey the scale (looked like a balloon model).

Its about 8m long. Just run to fill it with air, seal it, and then let the sun do its work heating up the air through the black plastic.

We got it going quite high!

Mind you, the margins on this must be huge. Basically 8m of extremely thin polly bag tubing, a couple of cable ties and some string for £15!

But we had fun.

Spent the afternoon catching up on editing church podcasts, then went to S&L for probably the last holiday party. Watched "So I married an axe murderer". V Funny indeed.
