THREE Sumatran Tiger Cubs have been released into the outside world for the first time at Flamingo Land Resort, in North Yorkshire
The Critically Endangered tigers were recently born at the amusement park & zoo, and only now has the parks vet indicated that the cubs are ready to be released into their outside enclosure.
The Cubs parents Surya (mother) and Bawa (father) are pictured here with their very special newborns.

Background: Recent estimates of World population levels of Sumatran Tigers are as low as 400 so we are extremely proud of being part of this massive boost of a nearly 1% increase in world population numbers. The average life expectancy of these tigers in the wild is only 4 years, but the expected lifespan of Surya and Bawa is in excess of 20 years. We can now look forward to many more productive years for our breeding pair as a vital part of worldwide conservation efforts to save this species from extinction.
