But there's something about the combination of community worker, blipper and real estate agent that just gives you an insane confidence to walk around a development site.

Not a private site, I want to say, but a development one.

This is the Hydro Majestic Hotel site, closed and under development for a number of years now. For a long time now, the locals felt that it was never going to open again, but suddenly, work has been frenetic and the opening is not far away. Most locals don't know that it's going to be a very different destination than before in that it won't be an accommodation business , but instead a daytime destination.

At any rate, I had a very nice time wandering around with my camera, saying hello to the workers and congratulating them on their work. What a cheek!

I've been briefed on how fabulous this project is going to be, but, for whatever reason, the gin palace is the one that stuck.

That, and the courtesy bus.
