Cliche #1
Arrived at the hotel about 9.30pm last night so no time or energy really to explore much, which meant it was all new and exciting this morning.
I'd not done my research properly really before booking so hadn't realised that the place I was staying was only built post-1956 earthquake and so doesn't have the character of the classic Santorini villages.
What it does have though, is 80+ restaurants, most with lovely views out to sea and some very fine food.
Most of today was spent exploring and getting my bearings. Then tomato fritters (local speciality) for lunch and a nice moussaka for dinner in a very friendly tavern.
And as I'm in Greece, I couldn't possibly not blip a cat...
