Birmingham Town Hall and the King's Breakfast

In Birmingham for a school inspection, and walked by the Town Hall which brought back many memories. Here, as a five year old and dressed in a hand embroidered smock, I recited AA Milne's lovely poem The King's Breakfast, as part of my school's Speech Day celebrations. Here, as an eight year old I shook Len Hutton's hand as he awarded me the school Geography prize; a copy of the Curious Lobster's Island, written by Richard W. Hatch and containing lovely illustrations by Marion Freeman Wakeman. And here as a student I saw many bands, notably Pink Floyd road-testing Dark Side of the Moon before recording it in 1972. Good memories all.
