Just chill'n

This is a small sample of the 3-4 million bottles of wine just chilling (at a constant 14-degree celsius) in the wine caves of Trimbach in Ribeauvillé, one of the large wine producers in Alsace with about 50 ha of vineyards. They produce about one million bottles each year, and start selling them 3 years after they are bottled.

The Trimbach label is one I can actually find in my neighborhood wine store in Washington, DC, so I thought it'd be cool to visit the place of origin. Aside from that 'connection', there's another one: my aunt's convent (yes, she's a nun) rents out all their vineyards to Trimbach to manage. The convent dates back to the 14th century and was set up originally by Franciscan monks.
