There was a party

Funny how things change.
I revisited Blip because someone I know posts on here and she posts the most wonderful stories and snippets of her and her family's life. She reminded me about the fact that I had a depository here for posting snippets.
My last post was a picture of 'party'.
It was in 2012 when I just found out that I passed my viva and had the title of Doctor or Philosophy.
A lot has changed since then.
My marriage failed, I moved from a tiny village in the borders to Glasgow where I'm in my 3rd flat now. I met someone new and have just split up. I found myself with no job and then started a business.
But there is cause to celebrate. My oldest, favourite and best is getting married and I am going to be by her side for the whole she-bang. I'm so freeking excited I could burst.
That wee bit of party in the picture I found in the street today outside my flat. It must've found its way from my flat on the 4th floor on Sunday night all the way to the street. It made me smile for happy futures and new beginnings.
