Time to Cast a Clout

The month of May hasn't ended, but the May is out. At least in my garden it is. I have a healthy hawthorn tree flowering profusely.

However, if you'd taken notice of the old saying, you'd have gotten very wet today!

For non-Scottish followers, it goes like this: Ne'er cast a clout till May is out. It means, don't get your summer clothes out till the hawthorn is flowering!
