Wind The Bobbin Up

6am start as Angus left his Monday morning alarm on by mistake, which in turn woke Audrey. Then I took her downstairs to let Angus sleep some more and we set the burglar alarm off. A comedy of errors!

It felt like a long day. We broke it up with a drive out to Cheadle to Head over Heels, meeting up with Laura (aka Auntie Raa-raa). Audrey was so excited she almost head-butted the reception desk. She ran around the place like a whirlwind leaving Laura and I in her wake. It was comical - she formed an attachment with a purple plastic teapot and that went everywhere with her, including down the slides.

They had a children's entertainer doing nursery rhymes and actions on a little stage on one point. Lots of little girls aged about five or six were dolled up for "the performance" in sparkly outfits with pom poms - clearly regulars! Audrey climbed onto the stage and joined in but just sort of stood there, occasionally swaying. She even decided to turn the speaker off, bringing the performance to an abrupt end at one stage!

Turns out she knows all the words and actions to Wind the Bobbin Up. Must be from nursery, I had nothing to do with it. Makes me sad sometimes when she picks things up and I'm not involved.

We grabbed lunch at John Lewis and it was lovely to have a natter with Laura.

Had to work on Audrey's (very short again) nap. Finding it increasingly hard to juggle both with my workload increasing. My holiday last week probably didn't help but it was still worth it!

Just found out today is my 730 blip anniversary. Yet again, I have failed to mark a blip occasion. Apologies, all.
