Bird habits

I headed out to see what was about at Dungeness RSPB reserve at lunchtime. I left here a bright sunny morning here and as I arrived there the skies opened and it lashed down. Now many of you may not be aware but when it rains our feathered friends tend to dive indoors and watch daytime telly so not lots to see - visibility was also severely compromised. Not much point in staying so I had a nice drive along the seafront to Folkestone with a few stops for photos (not sure that many will be worth processing) and then decided to head back. On the way I decided to see if Cal was at work (rather than at college) and when I found that he would be I dived over to collect him and give him a lift home.

I've been trying to catch up with him to see if he wants a week with his dad on holiday - he does - and discuss ideas. We chatted about his work and he's had a payrise; his pay has doubled because the probation period is finished. He's only just troubling the taxman but he's getting a few quid in his pocket and that's to be welcomed. He's growing up.
