make like a tree and...

...bark!
I noticed this deer when I took Laney out first thing in the morning (still in my PJs and without my glasses on). No, Laney did not bark, she just froze.
So I ran in, grabbed my glasses and camera and hoped the deer would still be there.
Well it was, but just barely. You can see that it was kicking up its heels to leave.
Once I uploaded the one photo I took, I was amazed to see how much the deer's shedding winter coat looked like the bark of the tree.
