The work of a lifetime
Today I went to Golders Green Crematorium to celebrate the life and work of Dick Leadbetter who died recently.
I worked with Dick at The Times from 1991 until he finally retired in (I think) 2006. When he died he was 91, which gives you some idea of how long he continued to work.
Dick worked because he loved it, not just for the money and in his spare time produced the beautifully constructed, vibrant and youthful artworks you see in my picture of the day.
It was a good chance to catch up with friends too (there is me on the right).
