Beserker lurker

We walked up to the Uig Community and Heritage Centre café at lunchtime today for a bowl of soup and a slice of cake. The building is guarded by this enormous replica of one of the beserkers from the collection of chess men found in 1831 on Uig sands (the beach that I blipped on Sunday).

We're still very much enjoying our stay here: walking on the beach, playing Scrabble, reading, chatting to the other guests, and working our way through our host's wonderful repertoire of evening meals.

Exercise today: walk to the café and back, then wander down to the shoreline at low tide.
