My first Lady's-slipper

Spotted, hidden under the foliage, this rare flower, a Lady's-slipper was the highlight of the day. According to Wikipedia: "Although never common, this rare plant has vanished from much of its historical range due to habitat loss. It grows in wet lands, open wooded swamps."
It seems that all the rain and flooding we experienced lately has made more than frogs and ducks happy.
