Incredible Iris

These lovely blooms would not look out of place on the most exotic island, don't you think?


Sometimes we take flowers for granted as they add a "splash of colour", but these irises had to be blipped today in case the rain that is threatened overnight, destroys their delicate petals. They don't last many hours anyway and today's heat has made them develop so quickly that I had to capture their beauty :-)
