Italian Chapel..............

.........created by POW's who were conscripted to help build the Churchill barriers during WW2. They used an old nissan hut, constructed a new front and decorated the inside in anamazing way - painted but looking like ornate plaster work!
The barriers were built to protect the British fleet which was based in Scapa Flow and now acts as a series of causeways linking the small islands, making travel a lot easier!
