at home with an Ivysaurus

Swish wish wish

Ivy is fascinated by the washing machine. Considering we do 6 loads a week on average she gets alot of opportunities to indulge this passion (cloth nappies).

Hard to get a picture of her grinning at the camera today- she wasn't her usual chirpy self- very clingy and upset at being put down. I was getting a bit fed up of not being able to get anything done in the afternoon, so I decided to down tools and Ivy and I went up to her room to play because it seems to me the easiest way to not be annoyed at your inability to get stuff done becuase of a baby- is simply not ot try and do stuff. I built her towers of blocks that she knocked down- that cheered her up. And I wrote a new clapping song

(to the tune of row row row your boat)
Clap clap clap your hands,
clap along with me,
clappity clappity clappity clap
one... two... three! (tickle attack)

Rhyme time wasn't as good as usual this morning, was a general atmosphere of distracted children, so a bit less relaxing than normal. Ivy didn't clap at the right moments- but she did make her sign for 'milk' during twinkle twinkle which was almost exactly the right action.

We had a delivery of baby clothes from everything baby highland in Inverness to go pick up (a member of staff brought them through for us). It's a great shop- selling second hand baby things and doing carbon friendly parenting workshops.

This evening I've been working on my new venture. I want to take my ultimate nursing t-shirt to the masses so was thinking about opening an etsy shop- but you can't open a shop with one item (would look a bit sad) so i'm bulking it out with stuff sacks and suck pads for baby carriers. Sewed two examples up this evening. Got 6 orders already. The plan is really to not make much profit per item- more just have people pay for the material for me to practise my sewing ahead of making my own wedding dress.
