A forgotten day off

Stirling Castle first. In the warm, hazy sun. Better than I ever remembered it. Brilliant in fact. Climbed the slopes, jumped the walls, scaled the walls, ate our sandwiches, fired the canons, enjoyed the views, bathed in the sun and then off to Beecraigs for more adventure.

Adventure playground to be precise. Slid, climbed, hid, dug, conquered.

Then, when the rain started, it was off again. But the rain cleared up, so off to Linlithgow Palace. Where we got lost in its empty maze of stairs and corridors, its deserted rooms, and eerie passageways. It rained, then the sun came out again. Just when we decided that pizza was in order.

Then we drove the wee CEO for his first taste of Bar Napoli in town... An old haunt - but not one that we usually ever went to before midnight, back in the day.
