Chorlton Arts Festival/Captain Chorlton...

At the moment the trendy, boho, Manchester suburb of Chorlton is having its annual arts festival. It lasts about two weeks. With this and it's regular markets, it attracts people from across the city and beyond who come to enjoy the festival or market and stay on to support the local, independent businesses. Didsbury does something similar. Mary Portas would be proud. And other suburbs and towns with failing high streets could do worse than come and visit Chorlton and see how it's done.

This guy was part of the Arts Festival. He was out and about by the food market outside Chorlton Library doing something to advertise an art/literature event in the library itself.
