Primula farinosa
Bird's eye primrose. Within the UK it is only found in damp limestoney places in Northern England. Yorkshire Dales being a prime spot. Being a grand morning I went on an old fashioned plant hunt and eventually found a swathe of them. Of course damp ground is wet to lie on to take pictures of low growing flowers, I arrived back at the National Park car park looking very muddy down one side, from the sympathetic glances I think people thought I had fallen over!
