Dirty Gertie

This is Gertie. She is a bit of a family heirloom! Owned by my Gran from new in 1990. She clocked up 27,000 miles under my Gran's watch and lived in a garage keeping her nice and happy during cold or wet weather (manual choke makes for interesting times!).

We were given her in 2012. She now has 40,000 miles on the clock. She no longer lives in the garage. She is no longer so happy. We have had fun in Wales pushing her down a hill to jump start her (failed, ended up with an RAC call out), clutch failure going uphill on the M3 overtaking a caravan with someone driving up our ar*e, expensive MOT failures etc etc.

In short, we would like to find her her next home, be it the scrap heap or some enthusiast for mark 3 fiestas who could give her the love and care and a garage we lack! How do I tell my Gran this who still thinks this car is the bees knees...?!? This won't be an easy conversation to have.
