A prickly visitor

I thought hedgehogs were nocturnal, however I found this little one in the garden at 7am. Later the pair of ducks arrived who have been absent for quite a while, possibly chased off too often by the neighbour's cat. I have been watching robins, blackbirds, starlings and pigeons in the bird bath by the new statue, as well as the ducks!
Little-one the guinea pig is possibly eating a little more today.
