DEER & RABBIT PROTECTION FOR OUR LATEST OAK TREE
There must have been a visit from a squirrel last autumn. There are no oak trees within 100 metres of the little (three inch maximum) sapling which has popped up in the long grass, right next to a mown path.
This is serendipitous indeed, as we'd love to have an oak there. So the rabbits and the deer need to be screened off, and the mown path needs to be diverted by about 18 inches, and I have an excuse to re-utilise some old elm twigs, some fresh willow, and some hazel to make yet another structure.
