The International Bank of Geoff

This morning I sat in the sun and finished reading this book. I found it incredibly positive in its stories of how micro-financing was changing the lives of people around the world by lenders making on-line $25 loans. More details on the book and author can be found on a video clip or at Amazon.

You will notice that the book relates to an organisation called Kiva. My wife and I have invested through them over a number of years. Most loans are short term meaning they are quickly repaid allowing us to reinvest (we could withdraw our money). My $25 is Australian currency but loans are actually in US$ amounts.
