Ornamental pineapple....

I love this ornamental pineapple! Is that the right name?? Not sure, and I hadn't seen one before today.

We met with the family at Old Street tube station and headed for Columbia Road flower market. It was PACKED full with people, plants and flowers of all shapes and sizes, and noisy with all the stall holders claiming to have THE best in the market by way of price and specimen. Not really the place for little people though they did amazingly well and the nearby park provided some welcome relief from the crowds.

Home again by 2.30 and ready for lunch on the patio under the new parasol, admiring the newly planted pots from yesterday, and setting up the chimenea, just to see how it looks....

A different Sunday but a good one and another beautiful sunny day. Monday tomorrow and I am just about ready; SATS comprehension practice first thing...
