Branklyn Gardens, Perth

We paid our annual Spring visit to this stunning garden in the centre of Perth to be amazed and delighted again by the fabulous colour and variety on show. It was impossible to choose just one, so I've done a collage to give an idea of what it is like.

As well as a huge selection of rhododendron and azaleas, Himalayan Poppies (Meconopsis) and alpines, there are some really unusual plants that you rarely see anywhere else and not a weed nor a garden pest in sight:-) A real treat for the senses.

These were taken with my new camera, a Fujifilm Finepix S1 and I'm not sure if I've got the settings right yet, so it will be trial and error for a bit!
