Not just any old table

Nonna, the kids great grandmother, and her family had their furniture confiscated during the war. When the war ended, they cut up shelves to make a set of two tables, their only bit of furniture. 2 days later the US officers confiscated them for 'official business'. Years later Nonna was given this table back and today we use it for junk. It might not be the prettiest of tables but considering it's history, maybe we should treat it with a little more respect.
