rain rain rain rain

Today was going to be our day for walking up Ben Nevis but we woke up to lots of mist covering the mountains and persistent rain. We decided to go and walk a section of the West Highland Way instead.

We got incredibly wet and pretty cold and didn't really get anywhere in particular! We took a diversion on our way back to the campsite and walked up to an old fort where I hastily took a couple of bad photographs in the pouring rain of the mist starting to clear on the mountains opposite.

One we had dried off a bit we found The Ben Nevis Inn, an excellent find and luck it was still early in the evening so they squeezed us in. We had lovely food and watched bedraggled drenched folk launch themselves through the doorway with visible relief into the warmth of the inn!

I have just discovered that the campsite we stayed at was another Harry Potter filming location... that's 3 in a week now.
