He didn't make it

How sad! I found this sad little flattened corpse on the lane that goes nowhere except to serve a few houses. The houses are to either side of a T junction where the lane then becomes a track and it is only driveable with care as it is one car wide - literally with stone walls either side.
Poor little chap - I suspect he was so very nearly home to the wet area at the bottom of the field about 15 yds away.
