Mellerstain House (1778)

Back to another stately home, this time in the Borders. On the way we visited Hundy Mundy again, the natural burial ground.

The house and gardens were in excellent order and we spent a long relaxing day wandering aboot. Lying on the grass in the parterre garden of the Tea House making daisy chains (or having daisy chains made for me) was particularly tranquil. And trying to do handstands.
