Tarring the hull

This is a full size replica of the Golden Hind, two were built and the other was sailed round the world by a bunch of ridiculously mad volunteers, who survived to tell the tale..
Can you imagine going to see in something this small without an engine, radio, or even in the case of the original voyage, idea of where you're going?
And the cannons that so terrorised the Spanish are tiny, the cannon balls are the size of tennis balls!
