So, yesterday's football didn't quite go according to plan but we're all good in this house. Old enough (if not necessarily wise enough) to know that sometimes the best team doesn't win and that blatant cheating, good luck and refereeing decisions invariably win out over talent, determination and sheer hard graft. Bitter, me?

In all seriousness, we just didn't quite have enough in the end and one of my best pals is an Arsenal fan so I'm happy for him at least and really I can have no complaints after what has been in the end our best ever season. And now it's time to hang up the scarf, wait for the balloons to deflate and move on...
