I wasn't dressed for beekeeping so kept well out of the way. Mr Beekeeper was checking what was going on in the hives and adding supers. This is like adding an extension to your house, but much quicker. However, just like when building an extension on your house, the residents and neighbours become a little agitated at times.

It was also interesting to see the colony of bees nesting high up in the garden wall. This is clearly the penthouse apartment. They have been there a few years so we don't think they came from 'our bees'.
